What started as a woman on a motorcycle passing out books in Honduras, turned into a thriving non-profit that reaches over 5,000 students each year. Founder, Sara Burkes Brakhane relates stories from growing up in a chaplain’s household and how that shaped the mission of her organization today. Chispa Project creates children’s libraries and literacy programs across the nation, and has donated over 65,000 books to reach even the most remote villages.
