Chispa’s got Talent

Over the last year, Chispa Project has worked off of an extremely low budget in order to get libraries in 25 schools.  Both of our employees (yes, we’re that tiny) are extremely proud of their talent to be incredibly cheap,  Maybe a better word is resourceful, but we have no shame in our cheapness.

But truly, we’ve been able to survive off of a low budget thanks to the many volunteers who have dedicated their time and talent to help us patch together an amazing project of school libraries.  This week, we were again blown away by the talent we found at our doorstep.  In February, we searched for volunteer artists willing to create posters to hang in our school libraries to decorate and encourage reading.  Designer Rianna Riegelman took it one step further.

Rianna pitched the idea to a group of friends, who in turn churned out an incredible array of library posters, coloring sheets, and even sticker designs.  Over the next two months, we have reading fairs to inspire 1,000 children to use and enjoy their school libraries.  These materials will be an incredible help in those events.  We were floored, and know you will be too.  Enjoy checking out some samples of these incredible artists, and be inspired to share your talent as well.  What are you good at?  We’ll find a way to make it useful.  :)

Special thanks to:
