Donate books

Each year, we buy books in bulk from various alliances with publishers, importers, and other non-profits for around 50% off. For this reason, your financial support goes further when you donate instead of buying books yourself. We then pack and ship those books once or twice a year on pallets to get to Honduras.

However, we know how fun it is to shop for books! Chispa Project accepts gently used and new storybooks in Spanish for K-12.

If you would like to directly participate in donating books to a Honduran school, considering doing a volunteer project with us.

If you have used or new books you’d like to mail to us, please contact us to know when to expect your book shipment.

3 ways to donate books

  • Send Books

Mail gently used or new books in Spanish to our mailing address:
    Chispa Project
    10556 Combie Rd., Suite 6643
    Auburn, CA 95602

  • Amazon Wishlist

Choosing exactly which books to donate can be a blast, especially when you can find some of your own childhood favorites in Spanish. We’ve made a list on Amazon of some possible book choices in Spanish (not bilingual) if you’d like help choosing. Or, consider using CapitalOneShopping.com – a free tool to compare prices while book shopping.

  • Financial Support

Thanks to our alliances, we are able to purchase books at half price. We also always need support in transportation costs. Consider supporting us financially to make the most effective donation.
